Jennifer Swiantek

Jenn grew up in Charleston, SC, but in 2017, she packed whatever could fit into her Prius and started driving west to find her place in Redondo Beach. Professionally, the pandemic precipitated quite a pivot away from the stresses of medical devices and the healthcare industry. Like many people during that trying time, Jenn turned to dogs to find comfort. Her love of dogs has to be attributed, in no small part, to her first shelter rescue, Shakespeare. In search of another rescue, Jenn hit up a local rescue (@bulliesandbuddies) to apply for a pitbull, Bubbles, and instead walked away with a new passion. Bubbles had already found the perfect forever home, so instead, Jenn opened up her home to become a foster. Since 2021, Jenn has fostered dozens of dogs of all breeds, ages, temperaments, and backstories. And through her dedicated volunteer work over the last few years, Jenn was lucky enough to play an integral part in the happy futures of countless SouthBay dogs, including quite a few members of the Spectrum pack.
